Water Resources Minister assumes office with pledge for improved water supply

In a ceremonial event held at Room No. 6106 on the first floor of the Mantralaya Building in the Secretariat, Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat officially assumed charge amidst the chanting of mantras. The occasion was graced by the presence of the minister’s family members.
Following the assumption of office, Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources and the Indira Gandhi Canal Project, Dr Subodh Aggarwal, along with Additional Secretary and Chief Engineer of Water Resources, Bhuvan Bhaskar, Chief Engineer of CAD, Sandeep Mathur, and other engineers visited the Mantralaya Bhavan to pay a courtesy call to the newly appointed minister.
Minister Rawat, in his statement, expressed his commitment to making water supply to every household a top priority after the formation of the BJP government in Rajasthan. He emphasized the initiation of the ERCP scheme, which was previously a point of contention under the Congress government. Addressing the public mandate, Rawat acknowledged the responsibility placed upon the BJP government by the people of Rajasthan. He mentioned that the party has promptly begun the groundwork for various schemes, including the ERCP, highlighting the government’s dedication to fulfilling its promises.
Responding to queries about Surendra Pal Titi’s appointment as a minister before the elections, Rawat stated that the party’s decisions align with what is deemed right, emphasising a commitment to responsible governance.
