Councilor Narendra Lubana of Ward 1 has overseen the reconstruction of the road leading from Mata Mansa Devi to Saketri.
The condition of this approximately 1.5-kilometer-long road had deteriorated significantly, with potholes posing a daily hazard for motorbike and four-wheeler drivers. Constructed nearly 10 years ago, the road had only undergone patchwork repairs, which proved ineffective and deteriorated again after the first rainfall.
Concerned about the inconvenience caused to residents of Secretary Video and Human Colony due to the broken road, Councilor Lubana met with Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Gian Chand Gupta and Chief Administrator H.S. Vipul to request written approval for the reconstruction of this road. Now that the majority of the road has been reconstructed, villagers and colony residents have expressed their gratitude and congratulations to Lubana.
The councillor highlighted that road construction has been progressing rapidly, covering areas from Shivalik Country Club to Saketri Shitla Mata Temple. Ongoing work spans from Saketri School to Mahadevpur Shiv Temple. Lubana stated that continuous vigilance is maintained for the welfare projects in the ward and announced that tenders for various development projects will be opened in the coming days. These projects include the development of Saketri’s lanes, maintenance of the community centre, and construction of the entry gate for Bhainsa Tibba, bus queue shelters, and more.”
