The ongoing nationwide campaign, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), witnessed active participation from Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, as he joined the movement in Panchayat Rathian West of Udhampur district. The yatra, aimed at citizen awareness, empowerment, and the saturation of beneficiary-oriented schemes, holds the vision of transforming Bharat into a developed nation.
Accompanied by DDC Chairman Lal Chand, Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, SSP Joginder Singh, senior officers of the district administration, BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, PRI representatives, and a large number of locals, Advisor Bhatnagar addressed the gathering, emphasizing the transformative nature of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He highlighted its role in creating awareness about various welfare schemes, ensuring 100% saturation, and encouraging citizen participation through ‘Jan Bhagidari.’The Advisor underscored the success of transformative initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, such as JJM Har Ghar Jal, strengthening power distribution, NEP implementation in schools, HADP projects in agriculture, and advancements in the health sector.
He stressed the significance of digitization and the Public Service Guarantee Act in streamlining government services for the benefit of the common masses. Advisor Bhatnagar urged PRI members and government officers to achieve 100% saturation of welfare schemes before January 26, calling for active participation in India’s developmental journey for the welfare of all residents. He expressed gratitude for the participants and applauded the District Administration for organizing the event.
During the yatra, Advisor Bhatnagar, accompanied by DDC Chairman and Deputy Commissioner, conducted a round of stalls established by various government departments, reviewing schemes and encouraging public participation. The event featured the Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledge, where participants, including BDCs, DDCs, District officers, PRIs, and locals, reaffirmed their commitment to the nation’s development.Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message resonated through an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van, capturing the attention of the audience. ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’ success stories from beneficiaries added a personal touch to the event, while cultural performances by school students on ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ added vibrancy.
Advisor Bhatnagar also actively participated in the distribution of Baby kits under BBBP, Sports kits, KCC smart cards, Brush cutters, Loan sanction letters, Abhinandan Patra, and Sehat cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme among the beneficiaries, underscoring the tangible impact of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on citizen welfare and empowerment.
