Vande Bharat: Train ticket booking commences

The railway department has launched two new Vande Bharat Express trains, one running from Amritsar starting January 6 and the other from Katra starting January 4. The train numbers have been issued by the railway department, and their booking has commenced. According to railway officials, all preparations regarding this have also been completed.

The commencement of these two trains has generated excitement among the people of Ludhiana, as most traders travel to both Delhi and Jammu for business purposes. According to the department, the Vande Bharat Express train number 22488-87 will run from Amritsar starting January 6, operating six days a week. The train will stop at BIAS, Jalandhar Cantonment, Fagwara, Ludhiana, and Ambala, featuring 8 coaches. Departing from Amritsar at 8:20 in the morning, it will arrive at Byas at 8:50, Jalandhar Cantonment at 9:30, Fagwara at 9:45, Ludhiana at 10:18, Sahnewal, pass through Ambala at 11:36, and reach Delhi at 13:50. On the return journey, it will depart from Delhi at 15:15, arriving at Ludhiana at 18:36

The Vande Bharat Express train number 22478-77 from Katra will start operating from January 4, comprising 16 coaches. Departing from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi at 6 AM, it will arrive at Jammu Tawi at 7:15, pass through Ludhiana at 10:28, reach Sahnewal at 11:46, Ambala Cantt at 13:00, and New Delhi at 14:00. On its return, it will depart at 15:00, arriving in Ludhiana at 18:20 in the evening.
