Manikant Mishra, the commandant of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), on Thursday, examined the rescue and relief efforts in the village of Jakhan, which had been affected by a landslip on Wednesday.
The deployed personnel were given instructions by Commandant Mishra on how to carry out relief and rescue activities as soon as possible.
Earlier on Wednesday, landslides and subsidence in the Jakhan village near Dehradun caused up to 15 homes to fall and seven cowsheds to be entirely demolished.
50 people live in around 15 families in the village of Jakhan. The afflicted individuals and their essential possessions were moved by SDRF to a relief camp established in the Pachta village school.
