Lance Naik Ruchin Singh Rawat, who perished in an explosion during the confrontation, was a native of Garsen in the state’s Chamoli district. One of the five soldiers slain in the clash was Lance Naik Rawat.
Paratrooper Siddhant Chettri, Naik Arvind Kumar, Hav Neelam Singh, and Paratrooper Pramod Negi were the names of the other four dead troops.
