Uttar Pradesh: 4 died, 14 injured in road accident in Barabanki

A tragic road accident took place on Saturday in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh where four people died and 14 are injured. The bus was going to Goa from Nepal.

Meanwhile, a fast-moving truck bumped into a double-decker bus at 3.30 AM near the Manhungupur area in Barabanki.

Ramnagar police reached the spot and all 14 injured were taken to the district hospital and two seriously injured were referred to Lucknow trauma center.

“Bus was parked to change the punctured tyre and another vehicle rammed into it. Around 14 people were injured. During treatment, 4 died and 2 were referred to the trauma center. The bus had about 60 passengers, and arrangements are being made to send them back to Nepal, “Addl SP (North) Barabanki, Purnendu Singh said.

Moreover, the accident happened when the bus driver was changing a punctured tire and suddenly a fast-moving truck collided with the bus carrying 60 passengers.

However, all the passengers are said to be laborers on the bus who was to Goa from Nepal for work.
