UP moving from hopelessness to hope under BJP govt: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the efforts of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, stating that the state was moving towards a “state of hope and aspiration” under his leadership. Modi made these comments while addressing a public meeting in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, where he launched 28 development projects worth over Rs 1,780 crore.
“Uttar Pradesh is rising from hopelessness and moving towards hope and aspirations. Where security and facilities are made available, prosperity is certain,” Modi said, appreciating Adityanath’s work in his second term as chief minister. He added that people in India and abroad appreciated the development of the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor and the Ganga ghat.
Modi also highlighted the success of the Khelo India scheme and laid the foundation stones for multiple projects, including the redevelopment work of Sigra Stadium, a sewage treatment plant at Bhagwanpur, and the passenger ropeway from Varanasi Cantonment station to Godowlia. He also announced a campaign to promote natural farming on both sides of the Ganga.
During his address at the ‘One World TB Summit’ on World TB Day, Modi stated that India’s ideology of “Vasudev Kutumbakam” is giving the modern world an integrated vision and solutions. Launching a series of initiatives to eliminate tuberculosis in India, Modi said the country is working to eliminate the disease by 2025 against the global target of 2030.
“India’s image reflects its ideology of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam (the whole world is one family)’. This old thought is giving the modern world an integrated vision and solutions,” he said.
Modi also dedicated 19 drinking water schemes and laid the foundation stone of 59 more drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which will benefit over three lakh people in 63 panchayats. These efforts aim to further strengthen the rural drinking water system in India.
