Professor Vassilios Papadopoulos, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Gauri Rao, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Southern California, USA, visited Panjab University, Chandigarh, to explore potential academic and research collaborations with the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) at Panjab University. The University of Southern California holds a prominent position among the top universities in the USA, securing the 116th rank in the QS World University Ranking for 2024.
Professor Harsh Nayyar, Director of Research & Development, shared insights into various aspects of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and research collaborations with Panjab University. He specifically highlighted areas such as adjunct faculty, dual degree programs, online lectures, joint research supervision, and the scientific exchange of faculty and students.
Professor Anil Kumar, Chairperson of UIPS, delivered a brief presentation about the institute. The distinguished visitors interacted with all faculty members of UIPS, exploring potential avenues for fruitful collaborations.
Professor Renu Vig, Vice-Chancellor, encouraged research and academic collaboration, including twinning programs and dual degrees in Master’s and Bachelor’s programs in pharmacy. Professor Kewal Krishan, Dean of International Students, formally presented the vote of thanks to all the guests with a token of gratitude.
