Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh criticizes Congress’ policies

Union Minister and BJP Candidate for Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Lok Sabha constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh, launched a scathing critique against the Congress Party’s appeasement policy during a series of public meetings held as part of his election campaign in Udhampur.
Dr Jitendra Singh accused the Congress of obstructing the rights of various marginalized communities, including Valmikis, OBCs, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and refugees. He emphasized that for decades, under successive Congress governments, these communities were denied their constitutional rights and equal opportunities.

Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, Dr Jitendra Singh asserted that significant changes were introduced under the Modi government to empower these communities. He specifically mentioned the equal opportunities now available to Valmikis in Jammu & Kashmir, allowing them to pursue higher-level placements based on merit.
Addressing the Congress Party, Dr Jitendra Singh challenged them to clarify their stance on the denial of rights to these communities during their prolonged representation in the Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency. He credited Prime Minister Modi for granting political reservations to Scheduled Tribes, enabling their representation in legislative bodies.

Dr Jitendra Singh also criticized the Congress Party’s historical treatment of Scheduled Castes, alleging that they exploited these communities for electoral gains without addressing their genuine concerns. He recalled instances where prominent leaders like Baba Sahab Ambedkar faced opposition from the Congress.

Regarding refugees from West Pakistan, Dr Jitendra Singh condemned the prolonged denial of citizenship rights by Congress governments despite notable figures from this community contributing significantly to the nation.

Looking ahead, Dr Jitendra Singh outlined the Modi government’s mission to correct past injustices and propel social and economic development. He expressed confidence that the Udhampur-Kathua-Doda constituency would emerge as a pivotal hub in North India under Modi’s leadership, ensuring that marginalized sections of society are uplifted and integrated into the country’s growth trajectory.

In conclusion, Dr Jitendra Singh emphasized the importance of inclusive growth and urged every Indian, irrespective of background, to contribute towards Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a developed India. He stressed the need for a level playing field to enable all sections of society to participate in India’s growth story over the next two decades.

Accompanying Dr Jitendra Singh during his election tour were prominent BJP leaders and local representatives, underlining the party’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities and fostering inclusive development in the region.
