Union Cabinet elevates schools in Kalka constituency to PM Shri level

Vijay Bansal, former state secretary of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee and state president of Shivalik Vikas Manch, has achieved success through his persistent efforts.
He announced that two Government Senior Secondary Schools in the Kalka Assembly Constituency have been upgraded to the prestigious status of PM Shri Schools by the Union Cabinet.

Vijay Bansal had repeatedly petitioned Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar to upgrade these schools and had also personally met with the Education Minister. Following numerous meetings with education department officials and district authorities, the demand to elevate these schools to PM Shri status has been fulfilled by both the Central and State Governments. The Government Senior Secondary Schools in Pinjore and Raipur, located within the Kalka Assembly Constituency, have been upgraded to PM Shri status, along with Government Senior Secondary School in Samalhedi of Rani Block.

Vijay Bansal informed that the Union Cabinet approved a new centrally sponsored scheme called PM Shree (PM School for Rising India) on 7 September 2022. This scheme aims to upgrade schools to promote high-quality education in line with the National Education Policy 2020. Advocate Vijay Bansal has long been dedicated to improving education in the Kalka assembly constituency. Recently, he successfully petitioned for the establishment of a Class 12 examination center in Nanakpur Senior Secondary School and another in the government school of Morni.

He also played a crucial role in obtaining approval for ITIs and polytechnic institutes in the region. Additionally, he advocated for the commencement of MA classes in Government College, Kalka, and successfully secured approval for an ITI in Morni. Furthermore, Government Senior Secondary School Chikan of Raitan area was granted the status of Sanskriti Vidyalaya.

Advocate Vijay Bansal emphasized that the declaration of Senior Secondary School, Pinjore, as a PM Shri School is a significant development for the rural and urban children of the area. PM Shree Schools will offer CBSE education along with international standards, providing children with quality education locally.

This move will significantly improve the educational landscape in the region, making CBSE education accessible to children at affordable fees, eliminating the need for them to travel to Chandigarh for the same.
