CHANDIGARH: Buoyed by the prevailing congenial industrial environment in the state, the UK’s real estate developers Dominvs Group on Wednesday announced its plans to initiate Rs 100 Crore investment in Punjab.
“We are exploring investment avenues across key sectors including Health, Agriculture, Education, Construction and Hotel Industry to expand our investment portfolio in India with core focus to leverage the huge investment potential Punjab offers to further enhance employability and service delivery,” Dominvs Group Founder and Non-Executive Chairman Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia said here during his interaction with the media at Punjab Bhawan.
Accompanied by the Senior Advisor to Punjab CM Lt. General T S Shergill (Retd.), the visiting entrepreneur who is on a visit to Punjab lauded the state government for its industrial policy initiatives and strategies initiated in the last four years. Ahluwalia would be calling on the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh later to apprise him about his plans to expand his ventures.
Nostalgically recalling his ancestral association with Punjab, Ahluwalia who is also the founder head of Ahluwalia Family Foundation which is philanthropically engaged with launching educational and charitable projects for upliftment of undepriviledged children, underlined his mission of “giving back” to my motherland as I owe what I am today to those who came before me from this great land.
Earlier Lt General Shergill during his opening remarks lauded the spirit of service and enthusiasm of Punjabis like Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia for whom contributing towards Punjab and India’s prosperity is the top most duty.
