In anticipation of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray has commenced a comprehensive assessment of all six Lok Sabha constituencies in Mumbai. The assessment began with the North West Lok Sabha constituency.
Currently, Gajanan Kirtikar, a seasoned Shiv Sena leader who has aligned with Eknath Shinde’s faction of Shiv Sena, holds the position of sitting MP for the North West Lok Sabha constituency. Kirtikar ranks 13th among the 18 Sena MPs who have already joined the Shinde Sena.
While the party leadership is in the process of formulating a tentative list of potential candidates, no final decisions have been made, as the seat-sharing arrangement among the constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is still pending, as explained by a party official.
