Two Naxalites Killed In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur By Security Forces

Two Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in the forests of Jappemarka and Kamkanar in Bijapur on Sunday, according to police reports. Bijapur Superintendent of Police, Jitendra Yadav, stated that “weapons, wireless sets, Maoist uniforms, medicines, propaganda materials of the banned Maoist organization, literature and other daily use materials were recovered from the spot of the incident.” Further search operations are ongoing in the area.

Earlier this week, seven Naxalites were killed in an ongoing encounter on Thursday with security personnel in the border areas of Narayanpur and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh. According to a police official, the encounter occurred during an anti-Naxal search operation in the border areas of Narayanpur, Dantewada, and Bijapur.

In a previous incident, 29 Naxalites were killed, and three security personnel were injured in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, part of the Bastar region.
