Two criminals injured in police encounter in Noida

In a confrontation with police in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, two criminals were hurt, police reported on Sunday. Anuj and Nitin, the two miscreants, were hurt during an altercation at Noida Sector 49 at approximately five in the morning, according to officials. Anuj and Nitin, the accused, were sought after after fatally stabbing a man named Mehndi Hasan on Saturday in Baraula village, Noida. After being stabbed, the victim suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where, according to the police, he passed away while receiving treatment. They also stated that the attack appeared to be motivated by an old grudge.

Police claimed to have fired in retaliation after the accused, allegedly opened fire while trying to excape.
“The duo sustained injuries in the firing and have been taken to district hospital for treatment,” police said.
Further investigation into the case is underway, they added.
