An earthquake of 4.7 magnitude hit Afghanistan at 6 am IST on Tuesday. The National Centre of Seismology confirmed the earthquake on Twitter, writing, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.7, Occurred on 19-07-2022, 06:40:00 IST, Lat: 33.32 & Long: 69.33, Depth: 170 Km ,Location: 137km S of Kabul , Afghanistan.”
The epicentre of the earthquake was 137 km south of Kabul in Afghanistan. The exact location was at latitude 33.32 and longitude 69.33.
No reports of casualties have been reported. Further details are awaited.
