A training and orientation program for the teams of Sector Officers and Sector Police Officers for the General Elections 2024 was conducted under the chairmanship of Vinay Pratap, Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer, Chandigarh, at the Multipurpose Hall of the New U.T. Secretariat Building, Sector 9, Chandigarh, on Tuesday.
Sector Officers were apprised of their roles and responsibilities during the forthcoming General Elections 2024. Detailed sessions on vulnerability mapping, EVM, and VVPAT were conducted by State Level Master Trainers. Some Sector Officers also shared their past experiences regarding the smooth conduct of elections.
Vinay Pratap also explained to the Sector Officers their significance in the elections and the expected role thereof. Further training sessions are likely to be conducted in the coming days.
