Tragic accident claims lives of two youths in Kotda

A devastating accident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon as a high-speed car, careening uncontrollably, collided with the divider near the Khokhariya Nala tunnel on the Gogunda-Pindwara highway, within the jurisdiction of Bakriya police station in Kotda. The mishap resulted in the instantaneous demise of two youths, while another sustained severe injuries.
Prabhu Singh Chundawat, the Station in charge, reported that three youths from Rajasmand district were en route to Pindwara when the tragic incident occurred. The car lost control due to its high speed near the Khokhariya Nala tunnel, ultimately crashing into the central divider.
The impact was so forceful that both deceased individuals fell into a 50-foot-deep pit on the roadside after the car’s door broke. The victims were identified as Shravan Singh (32) from Sema, Rajasmand, and Kan Singh (30) from Kumbhalgarh.
Tragically, they lost their lives on the spot. The identity of the injured youth is yet to be disclosed.
The accident led to a disruption in traffic on the Pindwara-Udaipur highway. Authorities, including the Station in-charge of Chundawat, Bhagwat Singh Jhala from the highway patrolling team, 108 ambulance services, and a highway ambulance, promptly arrived at the scene.
The critically injured youth was rushed to Gogunda Hospital, where, following initial treatment, doctors, recognizing the severity of the situation, referred him to Udaipur.
The police, with the assistance of 108 services, moved the bodies of the deceased to Bakriya Hospital’s mortuary and informed the relatives of the tragic incident. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to this unfortunate accident.
