TOURISTS CAN VISIT HIMACHAL WITHOUT ANY HINDRANCE, SAYS CM JAIRAM THAKUR

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has clarified that there would be no restrictions on tourists visiting Himachal Pradesh. It would not be advisable and practical to check everyone at the border with a Covid-19 test report.

With the tourist rush and crowd in tourist destinations, he said that there will be no restrictions on tourists in Himachal Pradesh. But strict adherence to Covid rules is ensured at tourist places, he added.

Thakur said that strict action has been ordered against those who violate the Covid-19 protocols at tourist places.

Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, 33 lakh people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while more than 9 lakh people have taken the second dose.

Thakur further said that the state government is ensuring that no tourist would be allowed to violate SOPs, and asked the officials to keep a strict vigil on tourists not following the protocol.

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on the post-rain situation in Boh valley of Kangra district, said that four more bodies have been recovered in debris today. He said rescue and relief operation is underway, the teams of NDRF, local administration, and local police are working on it. He said that the big machines were deployed yesterday and they are on job. While replying to a query of the reporters in Shimla, the Chief Minister said that 6 more people are trapped inside.

As per the latest reports, 10 people have lost lives in the calamity and a few more are feared to be dead.
