The state’s tourist guides will hold a protest at the Shaheed Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial) today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in support of their demands. The main demands of the tourist guides include regular monthly wages by including them in the labour department, employment guarantee, and the implementation of health insurance (AROGYAM). In the state’s 2021-22 budget, the creation of 1000 Rajasthan state-level and 5000 local-level tourist guide positions was announced, and the recruitment process for these positions has already been completed.
