Educators in the state are requesting the directorate to grant compensatory leaves for the time spent on Mission Karmyogi training during their winter break. School lecturers and assistant block resource coordinators have been designated as master trainers across all districts, conducting the training program throughout the ongoing winter vacation, set to conclude on January 15.
The teachers, who were appointed as master trainers, and the ones receiving training from them were not given their winter break.
The teachers have demanded compensatory leaves for the vacation time they lost during training, not only for the Mission Karmyogi training but also for the training of employees hired through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.
Head of the Haryana School Lecturers’ Association, Satpal Sindhu, said,
“Teachers have been deprived of the winter vacation in January. We urge the department to sanction compensatory leaves, tantamount to the working days, for all the incumbents,” he added.
The school education department confirmed receiving a request from the association on behalf of all the teachers. “We have received the request. We are yet to make a decision,” said a senior official.
