A case of fraud involving lakhs of rupees has come to light in Sikar, Rajasthan, under the pretext of arranging a government job. The accused tea vendor lured the constable’s son into believing that he could secure him a job on the railway and extorted money.
When the job did not materialise, the constable demanded money. The accused tea vendor is now refusing to return the money. The victim constable has filed a complaint with the Sikar SP. Head Constable Ramkrishna is investigating the case.
In the report given to the SP, the victim Vijay Singh, currently serving as an RAC constable in Sikar Jail, stated that the tea shop owner Hemapal Singh Nivasi, located near Sikar Jail, took Rs. 3 lakhs by falsely promising to arrange a government job in the Railway Group-D for the constable’s son.
The allegation is that the accused Hemapal Singh took the constable’s son to Jaipur, trapped him in a fake OMR sheet scam, and then threatened him. Hemapal told the constable’s son that he would arrange a government job on the railway for him. After that, the constable’s son started insisting and threatening to commit suicide if Hemapal Singh was not paid.
Upon the son’s insistence, the constable, trusting the accused Hemapal Singh, gave him Rs. 3.50 lakhs in cash. When the result of Group D came out, the son’s name was not on the merit list. They started demanding money from the accused at that time. The accused then claimed that he was a mediator in the middle. The accused is now refusing to return the money. Currently, the police have initiated an investigation into the case under the orders of the SP.
