Supreme Court: SLP Cannot Be Filed To Challenge An Order Passed By High Court On Administrative Side

The Supreme Court in the case Nimmanapally Surya Reddy vs Honorable Chief Justice High Court Of Telangana observed wherein the special leave plea is moved challenging an order passed by High Court on the administrative side.
In the present case, the petitioner assailed the administrative order which is passed by the Chief Justice of the High Court of Telangana wherein the court rejected the plea moved by him to implement the directions of the CJI for online hearing and permit him to file contempt petition or the other online plea to hear it online.
The Supreme Court in the case observed and has refused to registrar to register the Special Leave Petition.
Therefore, the petitioner filed the appeal challenging the same.
The bench headed by Justice KV Viswanathan also observed the case Dev Singh and Others vs. Registrar, wherein it has been held by the Punjab And Haryana High Court and Other that the Article 136 contemplates only the special leave plea to he court from adjudication of courts and tribunals and such adjudication must doubtless be judicial.
The bench noted that no Special Leave Petition can be filed against the administrative order, there being nothing wrong with the order of the Registrar and the order dated January 06, 2023 passed by the Registrar is upheld.
