A Supreme Court hearing on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal issue is scheduled for January 4th, during which Navin Jaihind announced an S.Y.L. pilgrimage from Maham Choubisi to Delhi’s Supreme Court. This pilgrimage is set to conclude on January 4th. Additionally, he stated that if Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal speak in favor of the S.Y.L., they will be rewarded with a cash prize.
During this announcement, Navin Jaihind highlighted the lack of progress in the S.Y.L. construction despite Supreme Court orders and accused political parties of prioritizing their political agendas. He framed the S.Y.L. pilgrimage as a fight for the dignity and respect of the Supreme Court, intending to present ghee collected during the journey as a gesture of respect to the Supreme Court justices, aiming to influence the court’s decision. He expressed the desire of Punjab’s residents for Haryana to receive S.Y.L. water but criticized the political maneuvering by Haryana politicians. Navin Jaihind declared that if Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal support the S.Y.L., they will receive a cash reward, and similarly, small leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana supporting the S.Y.L. will be rewarded with cash incentives.
