Supreme Court Directs Emergency Meeting To Address Delhi Water Crisis

The Supreme Court has directed the Upper Yamuna River Board to hold an emergency meeting on June 5 with all stakeholder states to address the water crisis affecting Delhi residents. The Court has scheduled the Delhi government’s plea for additional water from Haryana for a hearing on June 6. The Court also requested the minutes of the meeting and suggestions on the steps taken to resolve the issue.
