The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has successfully finished the construction of wing walls and backfilling at the causeway over Sukhna Choe Bridge in the industrial area Phase-1, Chandigarh. This initiative aims to enhance the commuting experience for local residents.
City Mayor Anup Gupta, accompanied by the Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineers, and relevant Executive Engineers, conducted a site visit to assess the progress of the construction work. The engineers briefed the Mayor, confirming that the construction of wing walls and backfilling work is nearing completion.
Mayor Gupta suggested that restricted movement on the causeway be lifted, allowing the road to be open for light motor vehicles from January 2, 2024. He urged the concerned engineers to expedite the remaining work and ensure its prompt completion.
