Sukhbir Singh Badal, the former leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, has publicly apologized before the Akal Takht for the misconduct that occurred during the Akali government’s tenure. Badal acknowledged the wrongdoings that took place during the Akali regime, expressing regret while bowing before the revered Akal Takht Sahib. He pledged that the Akali Dal would ensure the imprisonment of the real culprits involved in misconduct. Additionally, Badal asserted that those involved in politicizing the issue would be held accountable.
Sukhbir Badal lamented the frustration of being unable to apprehend those accused of misconduct. He highlighted the opposition’s role in handing over the case to the CBI for investigation, yet no government has made a concerted effort to apprehend the culprits.
Addressing any inadvertent mistakes during his administration, Badal stated, “If any mistakes occurred during our tenure, I seek forgiveness from the Akal Takht Sahib, on behalf of the late Prakash Singh, the entire Akali Dal party, and Akali workers.” He called upon the divine intervention of Guru Sahib to guide them toward collective well-being, brotherhood, and the restoration of Punjab’s former glory. Notably, Sukhbir Singh Badal, along with senior party leaders, including Harsimrat Kaur Badal, visited the Sri Harmandir Sahib on the 12th, staying for three days to engage in selfless service.
