In a strategic move, Subhash Barala, the Chairman of the Haryana Public Undertakings Bureau, has been entrusted with pivotal responsibilities, marking his appointment as the Chairman of the Haryana Farmer Welfare Authority. With a noteworthy past as the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Barala is set to play a key role in steering the Haryana Farmer Welfare Authority toward its objectives. Joining him on this mission are newly appointed members, Dr. Bhim Singh and Dharamvir Nandal.
The core agenda of the Farmer Welfare Authority revolves around the effective implementation of schemes tailored to enhance the well-being of farmers. Barala, a seasoned BJP leader who previously held the reins as state president, brings a wealth of experience to this new position. It’s worth highlighting that Barala faced a setback in the assembly poll against the incumbent development and panchayat minister, Devender Singh Babli.
However, the Khattar government, recognizing his capabilities, entrusted him with the crucial responsibility of leading the Public Enterprises Bureau.
Insider sources suggest that this appointment comes as a part of the BJP’s strategic realignment in Haryana. With key figures like Om Parkash Dhankar transitioning to national politics and Nayab Singh Saini assuming the state BJP presidency, there was a deliberate effort to appoint a prominent Jat leader to a significant role. Barala, given his past leadership role within the BJP, emerges as a fitting choice for steering the Farmer Welfare Authority toward impactful initiatives for the farming community.
