Strict guidelines issued for JEE Main exam takers

During the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam, if any candidate, invigilator, teacher, or staffs takes a restroom break, they will undergo a biometric check upon return before re-entering the examination hall. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued guidelines for the JEE Main exam, which is scheduled to commence from January 24.

According to the guidelines, the rules for candidates, invigilators, teachers, and staff at the examination centre will be stricter than before. NTA has prepared a special plan to prevent malpractice during the exam. If any official other than the General Director of NTA comes to the exam centre, their identification will also be verified, and they will go through the biometric process. This procedure will be implemented not only for JEE Main but also for other exams such as CUET, NEET, and others scheduled for this year. The JEE Main exam for the January session has recorded a record 12.3 million registrations.
The Exam will be conducted in 2 sessions

This time, the JEE Main exam will be conducted in two sessions. As per the schedule, the first session will take place from January 24 to February 1, while the second session will be held in April. Additionally, the number of exam centers has been increased this year. The registration process for JEE Main 2024 took place in November. After the conclusion of the online application process, candidates were given the chance to make corrections in their applications until December 8. The first session of the exam will be conducted in January.
