The State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (SOTO) will undergo restructuring to facilitate human organ and tissue transplantation in accordance with regulations.
Additionally, the steering committee will be revamped to ensure the efficient operation of SOTO and the implementation of activities aligning with the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Programme guidelines.
Acting upon directives from Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health and Medical Education, Shubhra Singh, the Commissioner of Medical Education has issued instructions to the Principal and Controller of Sawai Mansingh Medical College for the reconstitution of SOTO and the Steering Committee.
The letter states that Dr. Amarjeet Mehta, Joint Director of the State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation, has tendered his resignation.
Hence, immediate reconstitution of SOTO is advised in compliance with the National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Guidelines.
Furthermore, the steering committee should be reconstituted to ensure the smooth operation of SOTO, adhering to regulations.
