Rajasthan has taken the first position in online registration of organ donation by taking the oath of donation on the portal of the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation.
It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited to register online on the website of notes by taking the oath of donation in the Mann Ki Baat program. Dr. S.N. Dholpuriya, the State Nodal Officer of the National Organ Transplant Program, informed that by Friday evening, Rajasthan had come first with 24,869 online registrations. So far, approximately 1 lakh 25 thousand people have done online registration across the country.
Health Minister Gajendra Singh congratulated the officials of the Health Department for this achievement. He said that organ donation is a virtuous act through which we can save lives.
He mentioned that awareness about organ donation has increased in Rajasthan and people are coming forward to take the oath of donation.
The Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department mentioned that during the Bharat Sankalp Yatra organised during the New Year under the New India Campaign in the state, the common people are being inspired to take the online oath of donation in camps. This is increasing awareness about organ donation among the general public.
