STARTUPS, CORPORATES UNITE IN A BID TO FIGHT COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Even as India continues to fight the second wave of Covid-19, startups and corporates have come up with new launches to help those who are in distress.

Among the many such initiatives is, Maatri, which allows the home collection of blood samples. Maatri is a one-stop digital health ecosystem that manages health records in a safe, smart way digitally. The reports can be shared with anyone across the globe in seconds. Along with this, Maatri lets the user track one’s child’s growth, get developmental assessment tests done and track vaccinations. The app is being used by 50000+ active members and will cross the 1 lakh mark by September this year.

“The main focus is to save lives in whatever small way we can. We want a maximum number of people tested without the need to step out of their homes and hence we are offering a home collection of samples. Apart from this, Radiology services are also accessible. We are using the funding we got very diligently. We have spent 25% on technical enhancement and R&D, 30% on Marketing and brand building, 15% on sales initiatives, and 30% on right talent-hiring and expansion in other locations. We are working to provide more integrated health and other services to our consumers at their doorsteps.” says Amit Singal, Founder, and CEO at Maatri told The Daily Guardian.

Another such initiative is “Seva At Home” which was started by the founder and CEO, Atul Gandhi when he required a reliable caregiver and other medical support for his father in India who had been diagnosed with cancer. Atul was unable to find qualified and dependable service providers that could offer the quality care he wanted to arrange for his father. Since he was based in the US and frequent, and long term travel was not viable, this led to the realisation that there must be countless other concerned family members and friends (NRIs like him) who had the same problem: being unable to directly provide high-quality care for their loved ones from afar. Seva At Home was created as a platform to match and recommend, screen, hire and monitor caregivers for people living in India, and currently operates in 50 cities across India.

Building on the early success of its direct-to-customer business proposition, in January 2021 Seva PRO was launched. PRO which stands for Patient-Related Outcomes is SAH’s B2B vertical focused on the well-being of employees at corporates and institutions who subscribe to the robust portfolio of wellness, health, and medicare services.
