SRK’s Dunki Hits ₹436.40 Crore, Red Chillies Praises Day 18 Performance

Rajkumar Hirani’s blockbuster Dunki, featuring the dynamic duo of Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, continues its triumphant run at the box office. On its 18th day, the film pulled in an impressive Rs 4.25 crore across all languages, adding to its domestic total, which now stands at a whopping Rs 216.57 crore. The global appeal of Dunki is equally notable, with Red Chillies Entertainment sharing the film’s worldwide box office earnings of Rs 436.40 crore on their official Instagram profile.

In their caption, Red Chillies Entertainment expressed gratitude for the audience’s love, stating, “Dunki’s Box Office streak continues with your love! Book your tickets right away! Watch #Dunki – In Cinemas Now!” accompanied by sparkles emojis.

The film, which also features stellar performances by Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal, has captured the hearts of audiences both domestically and internationally. The successful collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu has added a unique charm to the movie, marking their first on-screen pairing.

Taapsee Pannu, Dunki’s female lead, recently shared a delightful anecdote about how she secured her role in the film. She humorously mentioned, “Actually, it’s a bit funny for me too because the first call for Dunki came from Raju Sir, but before that, there were already many rumors circulating that I am being considered for this film and I am doing this film. Just like any other rumor, I thought, this isn’t possible. The first time a proper rumor about me has come out. Well, I’m happy just hearing this.”

“But then I got a call from Sir. He first said that since the media has already spread the news, I thought I might as well call and tell you. So, this was the only rumor that was good and turned out to be true,” she added with a smile.

Released on December 21, Dunki has been a collaborative success backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, JIO Studios, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. The film’s box office triumph showcases its widespread appeal and the audience’s enthusiastic response to this cinematic venture.
