Split between opposition as Om Prakash Rajbhar, Shivpal Yadav attends dinner hosted by CM Yogi Adityanath

Ahead of the Presidential election, Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday hosted a dinner party for NDA’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu at his official residence in Lucknow.

The dinner was attended by many political leaders like Samajwadi Party’s ally Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbha, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and party MLA, Shivpal Yadav, along with Jansatta Dal Loktantrik founder Raghuraj Pratap Singh and Bahujan Samaj Party MLA in Uttar Pradesh, Uma Shankar Singh.

“In today’s condition, selecting Draupadi Murmu as a candidate for President is very important. This is why political parties other tha BJP are also supporting her. Both our MLA’s will support her,” said Raja Bhaiya on Friday.

For the presidential election, CM Yogi Adityanath is making big strategies as Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of votes. Many political parties are already in support of NDA’s Presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, the results can be assumed when the foremost opposition leaders came in support of Murmu at the dinner party. The NDA candidate is expected to get the support of 10 Opposition MPs, 10 MLAs, two MLCs from Uttar Pradesh, and the support of six MLAs of the Nishad party MPs from Apna Dal (Secular), one MLC and 12 MLAs from BJP constituents.

Furthermore, on Friday, Murmu arrived in Lucknow and interacted with MPs, MLAs of BJP, Nishad Party and Apna Dal (S).

Notably, the presidential elections will be held on July 18, 2022, against the opposition’s joint nominee Yashwant Sinha.
