Special prayers offered in UP ahead of moon landing

Across the country, several temples held rituals and mosques while prayers were offered in mosques for the success of Chandrayaan 3. After the landing, people exclaimed, “Mera Bharat mahaan! After the failure of Russia’s Luna-25 mission, all eyes were on India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission to the moon. Now, with the successful landing on the moon’s surface, the atmosphere in the whole country is celebratory. In Uttar Pradesh, enthusiasm among people was palpable. People had begun offering prayers for a successful landing since Tuesday evening. With this achievement, India became the fourth country to land a rover on the moon’s surface and the first country to reach the southern pole of the moon. Russia had launched a moon mission earlier this month on August 10. It was supposed to land on 21 August, but it crashed a day before it could.
