SONU SOOD APPEALS TO GOVT TO HELP CHILDREN WHO LOST PARENTS TO COVID

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who has emerged as a saviour for numerous people during the pandemic, has appealed to the government and charitable organisations to think about the future of families, especially children, that have lost loved ones due to Covid-19.

Sood shared a video on his official social media handles where he made an appeal for aiding families that have been hit the worst. “I would like to request the government, the state government, Central Government or whichever institutions that are trying to help, that there should be a rule that whosoever has lost family members during Covid-19, the education of their kids, from school to college, be it in a government school or private school, should be free of cost,” he said in the video.

The actor also stated there have been cases where children as young as 10 or 12 years old have lost both parents and their future is a big concern. The actor added that many families have lost their sole earning members. “Need to come together for every individual who has lost a loved one in this pandemic,” he said in the caption for the video.

A few days ago, Sood had also shared a glimpse of his mobile phone, where numerous requests and messages for help could be seen popping up within seconds, to show the suffering of people in the Covid crisis. “We are trying our best to reach out to you. If there are delays or we miss out, then pardon me. Apologies,” wrote the actor while sharing the video.
