Soldier’s kin shot dead by terrorist in Rajouri

In a shocking incident on Monday night in the Sharda Shrief area of Thanamandi, Rajouri district, an unidentified terrorist targeted the residence of a Territorial Army (TA) personnel, killing his brother Mohammad Razak.

According to official sources, terrorist opened fire on the home of the TA soldier in Kunda village near Sharda Sharief, critically injuring Mohammad Razak, 40, who worked in the Social Welfare Department. Despite immediate medical attention, Razak succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at a nearby hospital.

Following the attack, a joint team of local police and army units launched a cordon and search operation in the vicinity to locate the perpetrators. As of the latest update, no arrests have been made, and security forces continue their efforts.

This incident has left the family devastated and heightened tensions in the region.

Authorities are actively investigating this act of violence, and the community is grappling with the senseless loss.

Local residents are expressing concerns about security in the area, prompting assurances from the Jammu and Kashmir administration of swift action to apprehend those responsible and restore peace.

The administration urges residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies during this critical phase of the investigation.
