Snowfall blankets Himachal Pradesh’s high-altitude areas, tourist activities affected

Fresh snowfall has been reported in various high-altitude areas, including Rohtang Pass, Granthu, Kunzum Pass, Shinkula, Baralacha Pass, Jingga Jingga Bar, Bada Shigri, Hanuman Tibba, and Sev Sister Peak in Himachal Pradesh. The snowfall ranged from five to ten centimetres. The second day also saw a reduction in tourist activities at Rohtang Pass. The city of Shimla has experienced a drop in minimum temperatures for the past two nights, leading to increased cold during mornings and evenings. On Monday night, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius. The weather forecast predicts similar weather conditions in the state until December 1, with a chance of mixed weather on Wednesday. Most parts of the state experienced sunshine on Tuesday, with mild cloud cover later in the day. The minimum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius, Sundarnagar 5.7, Bhuntar 6.2, Kalpa 1.2, Dharamshala 10.2, Una 8.0, Nahan 11.7, Palampur 7.5, Solan 9.5, Manali 4.4, Kangra 10.1, Mandi 6.8, Chamba 8.7, Dalhousie 8.4, Jubbadhatti 9.6, Kufri 5.2, Narkanda 3.6, Bharmaur 10.0, Rikangpio 4.7, Seobagh 4.2, Dhoulakuan 11.4, Barthi 9.9, Samdho 1.5, Paunta Sahib 14.0, Sarahan 6.0, and Dehra Gopipur 12.0 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, Sundarnagar 24.4, Bhuntar 24.6, Kalpa 11.7, Dharamshala 20.0, Una 25.0, Nahan 23.3, Kullu 9.7, Solan 23.0, Manali 16.5, Kangra 24.0, Mandi 22.0, Chamba 25.1, Dalhousie 11.1, Jubbadhatti 21.5, Kufri 10.1, Kukumseri 11.6, Narkanda 8.9, Rikangpio 15.0, Dhoulakuan 23.3, Barthi 23.8, and Samdho 11.9 degrees Celsius.
