In a shocking incident, a six-year-old child, Har Udayveer Singh, was shot dead by two youths on a bullet motorcycle late on Thursday night in village Kotli Kalan near Mansa. The child’s sister, Navsirat Kaur (9), was also injured in the firing. The police investigation has revealed that the main culprit is the servant of the deceased’s father.
As per the police’s prime investigation, the accused used to molest the cousin of the deceased, and when he was stopped, he started harboring a grudge. The accused came to shoot the deceased’s family, and the bullet hit Har Udayveer Singh’s head, causing his death.
Mansa DSP Sanjeev Goyal stated that the incident took place around 10 pm on Thursday night when Kotli Kalan resident Jaspreet Singh was going home with his son and daughter. Suddenly, two people came on a bullet motorcycle and started firing. Har Udayveer Singh was seriously injured in the firing, and he was declared dead at the Mansa General Hospital. Navsirat Kaur was also injured in the firing, but her condition is said to be stable.
The parents of Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh, and Charan Kaur, reached the deceased’s home to console the grieving family after the incident.
The police have registered a case and cordoned off the area. They have also started checking CCTV footage to identify and nab the accused. This incident has sent shockwaves through the region, and the authorities are taking strict measures to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
