Haryana Police is actively pursuing the arrest of individuals involved in ransom demands.
As a result of these efforts, four suspects demanding ransom were apprehended in Tohana, Fatehabad, and two in Palwal. Cases have been registered against the accused in their respective police stations. Providing details, a government spokesperson mentioned that on December 17, the owner of a restaurant in Tohana market, Fatehabad, received a call on his mobile.

The caller, claiming to be a member of an alleged gang, demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The ransom call was accompanied by threats of harm if not paid. Subsequently, three motorcycle-riding individuals fired at the shop and fled. The accused were identified through CCTV footage and other evidence, leading to their arrest by Fatehabad Police within 72 hours. Similarly, in another incident, two individuals demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh were apprehended in Palwal district. The accused had approached a businessman, Shyamlal (fictitious name), in Tehsil Hodal of Palwal on December 16 at 10:30 pm. Two unidentified persons threatened to harm to the businessman.

The individuals fired two shots at the businessman’s office and fled. In this case as well, the police acted promptly, arresting the accused within 24 hours.
