The State Investigation Agency (SIA) launched raids on Friday at seven locations across different districts of the Jammu province as part of its investigation into a Pakistan-backed terror conspiracy case, as reported by media sources.
According to a spokesperson of the anti-terror agency, SIA teams simultaneously conducted searches at three locations in Doda district, two in Reasi district, and one each in Ramban and Jammu districts in the morning.
The raids targeted the residential premises of Hasan Babar Nehru and Mohd Irfan in Bhagwah, Sabder Ali in Phagsoo (Doda), Abdul Rashid in Arnas, Shamshad Begum in Pouni (Reasi), Abdul Rashid Naik in Khari (Ramban), and Sajad Ahmed alias “Shadu” in the Sidhra area of Jammu. During the searches, several android mobile phones and incriminating materials were seized.
The official further stated that the raids were conducted in connection with an ongoing investigation into a case registered at the SIA, Jammu. The investigation aims to uncover a criminal conspiracy orchestrated by the cadre and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of various militant organizations and their affiliates, intending to carry out militant and subversive activities.
