Shri Amarnath Yatra set to commence from June 29

The annual pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Shri Amarnath is poised to embark on its journey this year, with sources indicating a scheduled commencement from June 29.
In a meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, also the Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, arrangements and preparations for the yatra were deliberated upon at Raj Bhawan.

The 52-day long pilgrimage, set to culminate on August 19 coinciding with Rakshabandhan, promises devotees an enriching spiritual experience.

Post the conclusion of the Lok Sabha Polls, the administration will pivot its focus towards Shri Amarnath preparations, tentatively slated to commence from June 29 and conclude on August 19, according to official sources.

Anticipation looms over the commencement of yatra registrations, expected to kick off next month across various bank branches. With an official announcement awaited, preparations are poised to escalate rapidly once the green signal is given.

Furthermore, the live telecast of Aarti for the Yatra is scheduled to commence from July onwards, adding a spiritual dimension to the pilgrimage experience.

In 2023, the Shri Amarnath Cave witnessed the reverence of approximately 4.5 lakh pilgrims, underscoring the enduring significance and allure of this sacred journey. As preparations gear up for the forthcoming yatra, devotees eagerly await the opportunity to embark on this revered pilgrimage, seeking blessings and spiritual solace amidst the tranquil Himalayan landscape.
