Shri Akal Takht put a ban on Destination weddings

A meeting was held today at Shri Akal Takht Sahib, involving the leaders of five Takhts. This meeting presided over by Gyani Raghbir Singh, marked the first of its kind under his leadership. During this gathering, significant decisions were made concerning five different cases. Notably, they imposed a ban on destination weddings and declared same-sex marriages in Bathinda as void. Additionally, they have deemed the managing committee responsible for these decisions incompetent and ordered fresh elections for the Amritdhari Managing Committee. In another decision, Gyani Raghbir Singh took a stern stance on the issue of unauthorized relations of the Dera head with a woman.
