Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for I&B and Youth Affairs, attended the Shimla Rozgar Mela and gave 110 appointment letters to hopeful job seekers.
Approximately 51,000 employment letters will be given out at the event, which is a part of a nationwide drive led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for newly hired personnel in various government agencies.
Thakur said, “In Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, 700 people have been appointed, out of which 600 are from the postal department and the rest are in some banks, some in Central Research Institute (CRI). So you can see for yourself how the Modi government has created the possibility of increasing jobs in the government sector”.
Rozgar Melas are being organized across 46 locations in India to facilitate employment opportunities for the youth.
