JAIPUR: Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation’s royal train Palace on Wheels will operate in PPP mode on World Tourism Day. The royal train will start its first journey of the season from New Delhi on 27th September. The train will travel for 7 days with a delegation of tourists. An agreement has been signed between Palace on Wheels and Cube Construction Engineering Limited. Now the royal train will run on a public-private partnership basis for the next five years. In this agreement, the company will give 18.5 per cent of the entire revenue of Shahi Train to RTDC. Due to this, RTDC will get double the benefit as compared to previous years, in one year till now the one-year booking of Shahi Train has been 50 per cent. The marketing team of the company is fully engaged, and RTDC is also providing support for this. According to the agreement, only the management and operation of the department’s train will be done by Cube Construction Engineering Limited. Apart from this, all rights will remain with RTDC.
