NEW DELHI: Taking potshots at the Opposition while speaking on the Women’s Reservation Bill, Home Minister Amit Shah said that unlike the BJP, others see women’s empowerment as a political agenda and tool for vote bank politics. “Yesterday was a day which will be written in golden letters in India’s parliamentary history as the bill to give reservation to women, which was pending for years, was tabled,” Shah said in Lok Sabha. Shah added: “1/3 reservation will be decided by whom? We should do it—what if we do it and Wayanad gets reserved, then they will say it’s political—so it’s better with transparency delimitation will happen—and seats will be decided.”
