In the latest administrative shuffle following the formation of the Rajasthan government, Senior IAS officer Alok is poised to make a return to the state from Delhi. Alok is scheduled to resume his responsibilities in the Rajasthan government on January 22. This move further underscores the continued influence of Rajasthan cadre IAS officers within the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
The 1993 batch IAS officer was appointed as Additional Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority of the Home Ministry by the Central government. Alok, having held various significant positions in the state government, has a wealth of experience in both state and central responsibilities. Notably, he served as Collector and Devasthan Department officer in five districts of Rajasthan, contributing significantly to developmental initiatives. Under his leadership, initiatives such as the beautification and development of the state’s temples and air travel for pilgrims were initiated.
