Senior AAP member Raghav Chadha thanked the Supreme Court for granting interim bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday.
Taking to X, Raghav Chadha said, ‘Grateful to the Hon’ble Supreme Court for granting interim bail to @ArvindKejriwal. Justice prevails! सत्यमेव जयते.’
Meanwhile earlier on July 12, the apex court also called supreme court has given an interim bail to Delhi CM and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering matter in Delhi’s excise policy case.
The Bail was given on the grounds that Kejriwal has dealt with ‘incarceration of 90 days.’
But Arvind Kejriwal will stay in Tihar Jail, as he was detained by central bureau of investigation in connection with the corruption in alleged excise policy scam.
Furthermore, the court also observed, that the matter of interim bail can also be modified by a larger bench.
‘Given that the right to life is concerned and since the matter is referred to a larger bench, we direct Arvind Kejriwal to be released on interim bail said Justice Khanna while pronouncing its verdict.
Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was detained on March 21 by ED. As per law enforcement, a ‘criminal conspiracy was planned by AAP leaders including Kejriwal to establish loopholes in Delhi liquor policy to provide favours to some businessman, in exchange for undue favours.
