The arrested individuals have been identified as Ikhlaq Imtiyaz Sheikh, son of Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Watergam, Rafiabad, and Irfan Farooq Zargar, son of Farooq Ahmad Zargar, a resident of Soin Sadnar, Rafiabad. Sopore Police has taken decisive steps by booking them under the Public Safety Act (PSA), following formal detention orders issued by the competent authority.
According to reports from the news agency Buland Awaaz (BAN), both individuals have a documented history of involvement in anti-national activities, with multiple FIRs filed against them.
Subsequently, Ikhlaq Imtiyaz Sheikh has been lodged in District Jail Kupwara, while Irfan Farooq Zargar has been lodged in District Jail Anantnag.
