Security forces apprehended active PLA cadre in Jiribam district

An active cadre of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has been arrested by the security forces from the Jiribam district of Manipur on Wednesday.

Earlier on 28 November in a joint operation, the PLA cadre was apprehended. The joint operation was carried out by Inspectorate General Assam Rifles (East), under the aegis of Spear Corps, Indian Army, and Manipur Police.

Meanwhile, for further investigation, the cadre has been handed over to the police.

Taking to Twitter Spear Corps, the Indian Army tweeted, “In a joint operation by Inspectorate General Assam Rifles (East), under the aegis of Spear Corps and Manipur Police, one active cadre of PLA was apprehended from Jiribam district of Manipur on 28 November. Cadre handed over to Police for further investigation.”

Moreover, on 28 November one unregistered cadre of the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) was also apprehended by the security forces.

Taking to Twitter Spear Corps in another tweet tweeted, “Joint Operation by Inspectorate General Assam Rifles (East), under the aegis of Spear Corps and Manipur Police, resulted in the apprehension of one unregistered cadre of KRA. Cadre was handed over to Police for further investigation on 28 Nov 22.”

However, in both cases, further investigations are underway.
